I was shopping yesterday afternoon, and when I pulled into a Chic-Fil-A parking lot, my engine died. When I tried to start it back up it wouldn't start. I tried a second time, and it did start, but was idling terribly, and there was a loud metal on metal banging sound. I couldn't keep the car running, so I called for a roll-back wrecker and towed the car home. I haven't actually looked at the timing belt yet, but I'm pretty sure that is what the problem is. I'm at the point where I am ready to sell the car as-is. I'm probably going to post the car for sale in the classifieds, but what would be a fair asking price? The car is a white 91 TT 5 speed with about 168k miles. The body has no dents, and the paint is ok. There are a few minor scratches, and the front spoiler has had it's share of road scrapes. The front wheels need alignment. The interior is clean and nothing is torn. Here is a list of everything that has been done in the past three years : New factory turbos engine bay wiring harness water bypass hoses RPG street clutch alternator a/c compressor pvc valves detonation sensor new and relocated front brake rotors and pads rear brake pads Pirelli rear tires and Dunlop front tires - all have good tread both upper intake hoses Sony FM/AM CD Infinity Kappa seperates in front Infinity Reference 4x6 in rear 2 10" Rockford Fosgate with box Thanks John
